5 Day Trip to Kibale Forest National Park and Queen Elizabeth National Park

  • Day1 to Day 5

Day 1: (Entebbe Airport - Kampala)
On arrival at the Entembbe Airport will be warmly welcomed by your Tomaz representative,who will transfer you to your chosen place of accomodation based on the itenerary. At either Golf Course (High End), Serena Hotel, Africana Hotel Medium class, or Namirembe Guest house (Budget class) Dinner and Overnight, F/B

Day 2: (Kampala - Kibale Forest National Park)
Morning breakfast, enroute to Kibale and check in at either Ndali lodge or Primate Lodge. Go for Chimpanzee tracking in the forest , you will also get a chance to see other species like chestnut-winged starling, Grey- throated flycatcher, orange- tufted and small sunny birds, masked and blackcapped Apalis , there is also a marvelous infrastructure and of course  many activities. You will be brought back to your lodge for a rest. Later in the afternoon, you will have aguided walk through Bigodi swamp, it is a Wetland sanctuary managed by Kibale Association for Rural and  Envirimental Organisation formed in 1992. The main objectiive of this association was to achieve social  and Economic Development for Local  communities.The swamp is a ahabitant for appromately 137 bird spices and it is aendowed with vegetationn ,such as wild palms, polita figs and the dominat papyrus. There is network of forest trails which radiate from the  visitor centre this is an opportunity for you to search for a number  of bird species. Overnight and Dinner at either Ndali lodge or Primate Lodge, F/B.

Day 3: (Kibale Forest National Park - Queen Elizabeth National Park)
Early morning you will have your breakfast if desired it can be brought to your tent, check out, then proceed to queen Elizabeth National park following the mystical Rwenzori Mt. Range while having a game Drive while entering the Park to view animals,like elephants, leopards, buffalos, hyenas and a variety of antelope species arriving in the afternoon. relax around the Pool after lunch and later go for an early evening game Drive.Later return to the lodge for an overnight and Dinner.FullBoard. Enjoy the unique 2 hour boat ride on the Kazinga Channel. You will have a chance to view hippos on close range and other bird species. check in at Mweya Safari Lodge or Mweya Hostel, Dinner and overnight, F/B.

Day 4: (Queen Elizabeth National Park)
Morning game drive after early warm up tea or coffee at 6:00am, return for a full breakfast and afternoon then go for the boat trip along the Kazinga Channel. Hippos huff and spray mere feet away from the boat, Buffalos linger in the shallows, a tremendous variety of birds grace the grasses on the shores. Great White and Pink-Backed Pelicans, Great and Long-Tailed Cormorants, Open-Billed Stork, African Jacana, Malachite and Pied Kingfishers are commonly seen. February and March offer spectacular sightings of some of the bird migrants.Returning in the evening for relaxation around the pool then we shall go for an evening primate walk along Kyambura Gorge or visit the blue crater lake and bat cave, return to have an evening game drive, Spend the night at either Mweya Lodge/ Jacana safari Lodge (High end/luxurious accommodation), King fisher Lodge Kichwamba/Hill top Camp (Medium class accommodation) or the Institute of Ecology Cottages (Low budget/basic accommodation). F/B.
